• Prof. Swapan Kumar Dutta FNA, FNSc, FNAAS, FTWAS has been awarded with the position of distinguished research Professor, DBT, Government of India.
• Prof. Krishnendu Acharya was selected as the Fellow of West Bengal Science Academy
• Mousumi Roy was awarded the Commonwealth Scholarship and also completed Post-graduation in Dementia Studies from University of Striling, UK. She has been honoured with the Late Rtn Shantanu Chatterjee Award by the Rotary Club of Kolkata for her contributions in the field of dementia and elderly care.
• Dr. Dipak Gayen has received the Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellowship while he was attached to this Department
• Dr. Nusrat Ali has received a Swedish Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Umea University Sweden
• Dr. Moumita Ganguly has been awarded with the position of a Research Scientist at Imperial College, UK
• Dr. Kutubuddin Ali Molla has been a recipient of Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellowship and also worked at Penn, State University

• Dr. Subiresh Bhattacharjee, an alumnus of 1979 batch and a member of the association was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the University of North Bengal.
• Dr. Dipak Kumar Kar, an alumnus of 1978 batch and a member of the association was appointed Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Calcutta.
• Dr. Santanu Paul, an alumnus of 1995 batch, was appointed as the Deputy Registrar, CU and has also been acting Registrar of the University.
• Prof Prasanta Kumar Sircar was awarded as the eminent teacher by the University of Calcutta.
