• Areas of research interests: Pharmacognosy; phytochemistry; plant cell, tissue, and organ culture for production of economically important medicinal metabolites; plant anatomy; floral biology; karyological, anatomical, and chemical taxonomy of economically important taxa; staining technique; fibre botany;cytohisto-morphogenesis.
• Published more than 230 research papers in journals of international repute.
